When you have warm feet, the energy meridians that are connected to the lower body, including the uterus, are kept warm. This warmth creates proper blood circulation, which is critical for an embryo to implant and grow.
In contrast, if your feet are cold, your uterus is said to be cold. A cold uterus reflects poor blood circulation, which studies show can significantly decrease your chances of getting pregnant. Here are some symptoms that you may experience if you have a cold uterus:
- Cold hands and feet
- Blood clots during menstruation
- Menstrual cramps
- Low progesterone
- Frequent urination during the night
- Low libido
- Short luteal phase (10 days or less)
Here are my favorite ways to keep those feet warm:
- Always wear thick socks, even when sleeping
- Wear socks AND slippers around the house when the floors are cold
- Use a warm water bottle on the feet when they feel cold
