I’m Rebecca Rumsey, a functional fertility expert helping women over 40 navigate complex fertility challenges with a science-based, holistic approach. After being told I was in early menopause at 41 and that my chances of having a baby with my own eggs were extremely low, I went on to naturally conceive and have two healthy children at 44 and 46. Today, I help women around the world investigate the root causes that may be impacting their fertility and support them in improving their chances of pregnancy through evidence-based, personalized strategies.
With over 20 years of experience in health and wellness, along with advanced training in nutrition, fertility, and exercise science, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people optimize their health.
In my 20s and 30s, I built a career helping people improve their health through functional nutrition, hormone optimization, and personal training. Like many women who try to conceive later in life, I focused on my career, achievements, and enjoying life until I realized, at 40, that becoming a mom had become my most important priority.
I met my husband just a few days after my 40th birthday, and we quickly knew we wanted to start a family. By that time, I had successfully addressed numerous hormonal and medical issues—including amenorrhea, hypothyroidism, adrenal dysfunction, and heavy metal toxicity—despite having been dismissed by conventional medicine. Using my background in holistic nutrition and health, I developed a personalized approach that addressed the root causes of my health concerns.
Life threw me a curveball when I suffered a severe concussion at 41, which drastically altered my hormones. I went from being very fertile before the concussion to being told I was in early menopause—devastating news right when motherhood had become my top priority. We considered IVF, but the high costs, low success rates for women over 40, and clinics’ reluctance to work with women using their own eggs made me hesitant. We believed we could achieve our baby dreams naturally.
I dove back into research and spent a year holistically preparing my body. I was able to conceive naturally at 43, deliver a healthy baby at 44, and do it again at 46. My experience reinforced my belief in looking beyond age alone when supporting fertility.
Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of women over 40 navigate complex fertility challenges with evidence-based, personalized support. My story, along with the experiences of many of my clients, shows that pregnancy in your 40s is possible. Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF, I’m here to help you create a clear, personalized path forward.
