The Impact of EMFs on Fertility

Our cell phones, microwaves, Wi-Fi routers, computers, and other appliances send out a stream of invisible energy waves called EMF (electromagnetic fields) radiation, which can impact our ability to get pregnant.

Although EMF radiation is natural to an extent (the sun produces EMF waves), studies of EMF radiation from man-made sources have shown that the bombardment of these waves that we encounter daily change our nervous system and interfere with our cells, causing mutations. The effects have been linked to infertility in both sexes, among other health problems.

When my husband and I started talking about getting ready to conceive, we both took precautions to protect ourselves from EMF radiation. We purchased EMF protection blankets that we put on our laps when working on our computers. We never used our microwave, we kept our cell phones at least 6 feet from our bodies when sleeping, and I used an EMF protection cell phone case.

Although it’s nearly impossible to avoid man-made EMF radiation, we can take steps to protect ourselves to minimize the associated risks.
